Who we are because of who we came from

From the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), this family-owned business has been growing for many decades. Cease began selling indigenous herbal teas in the Pow Wow circuit, raising a young child and gathering and sharing her medicines on a small scale.

To date, the Tea Company has changed names a few times, originally “Senaqwila Herbal Tea Company”, it is now known as Raven and Hummingbird Tea Co (or RH Tea Co), and continues to sell in Pow Wows and small craft fairs. We also have been increasing our brand to be featured in multiple local stores around the Vancouver Area!

 For 30+ years, T’uy’t’tanat Cease Wyss has been studying ethnobotany, indigenous plant use and medicinal herbs, and in her learning, has raised her daughter Senaqwila with these teachings. Passing this knowledge to each generation is vital to their culture and health. With the newest generation, Kamaya is already absorbing their traditional knowledge in her upbringing as well.
